Vista has probably been the most destructive OP i ever installed destroyed 2 ddr crossairs sticks 1 gig a pop.

sure blame it on hardware, even with the two sticks removed vista still spewed out memory problems and kept BSOD about 15 minutes into eve on max (havent tried other games yet) and about 30-1hr on any other program.
Rolled back to a modified OEM Windows XP sp2 and guess what? all those problems went away. Still havent been able to save the first two chips :(
Then again I didnt shovel out 400$ for ultimate, mine was a free issue copy of windows vista home from microsoft.

Im going to be simple and sweet,
I know how to take care of my computers and I can verify bad parts, overdraws and cooling (thermal imaging is very damn expensive, calibration isnt fun either.)
Vista has left a very very very bad impression on me, SP1 might change that similar to how Win 98 sec ed did, but pre sp1 vista was one of the worst OS's ive managed to work with since Win 98 pre sec ed.
(also you forgot to mention compressed files as a possible culprit)

I dont care how angry you guys get at me for telling you my personal experinces with the OS. Doesnt change the fact i got a copy of vista sitting storage shelf and xp on most of my current laptops. This OS isnt for everyone, just like mac or linux is.

Dont get me wrong, I'll continue to give vista chances and ill remain flexible to allow my customers to make thier own decisions, but until I can clean or upgrade install vista without issues. At least Ive taken down the 'will not fix vista computers' about 4 months after release. Last time i had a sign like that was with packard bell and that was until the day they died.
Also when I heard they aborted vista inital code the last second and rehashed the code at the last second I knew it was going to be a bad day and I stopped being that guy in the video.
